Advanced Drone Detection Sensor RF-560

It’s no secret that drone technology is advancing rapidly – this, in turn, means counter-drone technology must innovate just as quickly to maintain public safety and ensure national security.

As the global leader in airspace security, Dedrone by Axon, has been doing just that, enabling our customers to stay ahead of the persistent and escalating threat from drones. From opening an office in Denmark to develop and test class 2/3 counter-drone solutions used in military environments, to launching DedroneOnTheMove and continuously adding to our protocols library, DedroneDNA, our work to develop the world’s most sophisticated cUAS technology races on.

With that same clear intent, today we are introducing our latest RF sensor in the family of DedroneSensors, the Advanced Detection RF-560. This sensor enables our customers to receive Remote ID and Remote ID equivalent data from non-cooperative drones (if the latter capability is turned on in the sensor).

Capabilities

  • The Advanced Detection RF-560 sensor is specifically designed to receive Remote ID and Remote ID equivalent data through advanced detection capabilities from many drone manufacturers including DJI.
  • This sensor also offers flexibility to the user based on their specific threat profile. The sensor delivers long-range protection even in RF noisy environments like urban areas where the user can choose either omni-directional antennas to provide 360-degree coverage at shorter ranges, typically up to 5km or directional antennas (2 included with each sensor) to deliver 180-degree coverage with longer ranges, typically up to 8km.
  • Like all Dedrone solutions, this DedroneSensor is designed to integrate with DedroneTracker.AI, our C2 platform.

Purpose

  • True security is accomplished through layering different technologies together, and this is true for airspace security as well
  • Adding the Advanced Detection sensor to your security apparatus is a simple upgrade that covers the majority of drones in the skies today including those that may be purposefully non-cooperative in an airspace that is increasingly complex

Fully Operational

This Advanced Detection sensor is already in use in Switzerland, Denmark, and Germany.
